Steel forged steel bar 4320Introduction:4320 steel has high toughness and strength. It contains low carbon content to achieve good welding characteristics.Applications:4320 steel is a steel alloy that has casting, machining and welding capability. It is called a low alloy steel, with low carbon content. The carbon amount allows it to be forged, welded and machined. The manganese component allows for better machinability and better hardening properties. The 4320 steel alloys are used in pins, plates, valves and castings etc...Heat treatment:4320 steel is normalized at 872°C (1650°F) before heat treatment. It is then heat treated at 816°C (1500°F) followed by quenching in oil and tempering to achieve desired hardness.Forging:4320 steel is forged at 1038 to 1205°C (1900 to 2200°F)Annealing:4320 steel is annealed at 872°C (1600°F) followed by slowly cooling in the furnace.
Tempering: 4320 steel can be tempered at 205 to 705°C (400 to 1300°F).
Hardening: 4320 steel can be hardened by cold working, or by teat treatment and tempering.
Dimension tolerance standard: DIN 7527.
Ultrasonic test: SEP 1921 3C/c or specific FBH eq.
Mill′s test certificate:
EN 10204/3.1 with all relevant data reg. chem. composition, mech. properties and results of testing.
